United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Corris Grey
Fuel Sloshing

I have an MY16.5 and when the tank is half empty I can hear thumping in the back under slow maneuvering, after having a proper listen it appears to be fuel sloshing around. Having had a search it appears this was a problem affecting early cars and was resolved by a TSB (assuming an updated baffle design), I am surprised it still remains 3yrs on. Last time I had this issue on a car was nearly 10yrs ago on a Honda Civic with a fuel tank under the front passenger seats.

Has anyone else experienced this before I take it into the dealer? 2021 L405 Vogue D300

I had the same noise with my sept. 2016 build. Had it in a couple of weeks ago for rectification. All ok now but surprised it's not done at source. It's a foam baffle they install by the way. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Thanks, did you have to argue for it or did they accept straight away? 2021 L405 Vogue D300

No arguments. I'm pretty sure there is a service bulletin on the subject. They kept it over night though. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Well known fault. It affects both L405 and L494 on all model years.

I asked a senior manager at LR why they won't do it at the factory and apparently it's because the process is too manual.

It's foam baffles that they fit.
