As I see it,if we want to renegotiate terms of our membership, which seems to be what even the remain camp agrees needs doing, then the only way to do that is to vote to leave. Otherwise it is a bit like buying a car, saying I will pay full price, but is there any chance of some money off?. That seems to be the Remain stance.

@19sjw: I agree completely, I'm sure despite Cameron's weakness, even a much more forthright leader would struggle until the threat looks 'real' i guess there is a good amount of assumption of posturing and empty threats going on- and to be fair to the Eurocrats, I would say with 'Call me Dave' in our corner they were likely mostly empty.

If voting to leave doesn't get their ear, then the possibility of reforming from within was never going to happen anyhow.

What does grip me somewhat is the never ending parade of luvvies and millionaires proselytising that planes will fall from the sky etc if we vote to leave; and that Juncker makes my s**t hang sideways. Formerly happymadison1978

Postal vote sent in, now I can relax and watch the forthcoming footy and not watch or listen to the interminal debates and opinions around in or out,
I assume England will still be invited to play in the Euro 2020 competition whether we are in or out of the EU - this is what really matters and no one has mentioned it Rolling with laughter Geoff

It only normal being "Registered to vote" (as I understand it) and not a special EU Referendum registration as my wife thought?

Yes I am right...

If you aren’t already on the electoral register, you must register by 7 June if you want to vote in the EU referendum on 23 June.

You don’t need to register again in order to vote in the EU referendum if you live in the UK and both of the following apply:

you were registered to vote in the May 2016 elections or the 2015 General Election
you still live at the same address
