Good morning everyone, I've been trying to adjust the reversing dipped mirror function with no joy.
At present if reverse is selected and the mirror adjust button is in the passenger side, the passenger side mirror dips and looks at the floor If I try to adjust it whilst in reverse it does nothing. If I slide the mirror selector button to the drivers side, whilst still in reverse the passenger side raises back up to the normal driving position. If I take the RR out of reverse I can alter both wing mirrors depending where the selector button is, so the functions are clearly working, I just can't alter the reverse function.
Is it only adjustable via IDD? Or should it be adjusted just by selecting reverse and altering it? Like you see on the utube videos. Or more likely am I missing something simple..... Borrowed Grey 2002 3d 204k for a year

You should be able to adjust it when you are in reverse and it’s dipped… then it will go there next time……

Interstingly I have just reversed mine & i'm unable to adjust once the mirror is atuo dipped in reverse. Yet both are fully adjustable & work fine once removed from reverse.

Maybe the later cars are different, but I’m sure the TD6 I had was adjustable… like my 2011 car….

Looks like my old man memory may be iffy then 🤣

My 2006 Td6 - cannot be adjusted whilst dipped for reversing, otherwise all functions working ok.
