Cheers Pete, also recovered the bloody thing with my classic a couple of years ago when it got bogged down in the top field (my fault) but classic pulled it out easily, progress indeed |

I have a series one, the starter motor died about ten years ago, I bought the replacement part for about five quid but never got round to fitting it. Why not? Because it starts first time every time on the starting handle! No need to worry about flat batteries, unless they are totally dead!
