LR progression through the years

So, acquired a knackered old series 3 as a project back in January, due to weather and other things it has sat lopsided in the yard looking sorry for itself, battery was dead and needed glowplugs so with a bit better weather a month ago, I fitted glowplugs (myself which was a feat in itself), and jumped it off the FF, started after a bit and I ran it for about an hour, also this car has not been MOTd since 1999! Anyway jump in FF last week and completely dead, nothing! Didnt need it so just left where it is. Nice weather today so needed to move both series 3 and FF, bloody series 3 started on the button and jumped FF. and thats progress Thumbs Up

Cheers Pete, also recovered the bloody thing with my classic a couple of years ago when it got bogged down in the top field (my fault) but classic pulled it out easily, progress indeed Thumbs Up

I have a series one, the starter motor died about ten years ago, I bought the replacement part for about five quid but never got round to fitting it. Why not? Because it starts first time every time on the starting handle! No need to worry about flat batteries, unless they are totally dead!
Did get odd looks when I took it in for its MOT, (when it still needed them)! Got enemies? Good, you have stood up for something in your life.

Never regret growing old, it is a privilege denied to many.
