No fuel pressure

Well just done an initial check with a good fuel,pressure gauge - No pressure until cranking! So maybe the problem, but what can be the cause?
Also pressure drops immediately when switching off! Current: 2004 Vogue 4.4 V8 - 2004 Discovery 2
