Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDI Purchase

Hello to everyone,

I am currently looking to purchase a Range Rover and at this present time am very interested in a Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDI V8, year 2011 with 39.100miles on the clock.

Can anyone please give me guidance and advise with regard to the above spec vehicle, at present I own a Land Rover Freelander 2006 and wish to upgrade with the mind that this vehicle will be used as a secondary car when towing my Ifor Williams 401 horse trailer or a caravan.

All advise with what to look for when purchasing, positive and negative will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Jay

Apparently oil sits in a pipe and when you drive spirited once in a while it blows through the turbo and you get smoke!
Solution and you won't need much incouragement after driving spirited once, put your foot down more often and listen to that v8 growl. The oil won't get chance to sit around long.
Thumbs Up
I have had my 4.4 tdv8 se a fortnight now and it's a cracking car.

Above issue is corrected via LR TSB and involves fitting a new a drain pipe back into the sump. Its a 9 hour tickets and involves drilling a hole in the block for the oil return. If outside 3 year warranty its get your wallet out time. Not every car has this issue but it was the earlier 4.4 cars. You may get LR to pay if you complain to LR customer services.
