Halford Professional range is a good starting point.

I would look for 6 point sockets rather than the more common 12 point sockets now generally available.

Hmmm... taking apart a Series 3, you don't need a socket set but you most definitely need a set of these...

The biggest of the Halfrords set has both imperial and metric, they are not as good a quality as they use to be, but still good enough and incredible value for money. Used mine to work on my IIa for her MOT yesterday. letters not necessarily in the right order |

I'm a big fan of the Halfords sets - I have one at home and one in France - they are often on offer and great value when they are |

If you want a high quality UK made set have a look at Abbots Tools in Solihull, www.abbotstools.co.uk socketry sold under the "King Dick" brand. They do a wide range of imperial as well as metric and I have been very pleased with what I have bought from them, nice people to deal with too. Note I am just a happy customer and have no other connection with the business. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

Halfords.... They regularly have 50% off. My son has just purchased their £300 set for £150. Lifetime guarantee as well.
