TDV8 Engines. Are they the same?

Hey Guys. Is the TDv8 Engine in the sport the same as the one in the Full Fat.

I think they are but just want to confirm.

Thanks. Thumbs Up

Of a certain age..... the Sport only had the 3.6, the FFRR moved on to the 4.4

I would be very surprised if the engines were the same 3.6 unit in both cars! They certainly run different ancillaries.

I would imagine the block has the same casting! But as in most cases, there will be many many differences between the 322 & 320 running the 3.6TDV8... Rolling Eyes

Would a lot of that be bolt on items? Could I bolt my various additional components on.

If your after a 322 replacement... I would think a 322 replacement is what you need sir... A 320 engine could mean changing heads and every sensor etc etc over between engines! That becomes VERY expensive! Let alone finding your engine may have tapped holes a 320 engine does not???

The fitting kits for the injectors for example are now around £400 Shocked

Worth asking around further before buying one sir Bow down

If you're really stuck, I do have a contact who might be able to help, a recently retired GM for a rather large salvage operation, there is an outside chance at best, happy to call him.

According to my copy of MCAT the 3.6 blocks, heads and inlet manifolds in the L320 and L322 have the same part numbers. Obviously the sump is different.

Hey Mr. Tee, That would be great. I could PM you my mobile and you could chat me first if you like?

I missed out on the Sport Engine, but no harm! Just really want to get this RR back on the road. It's been off nearly two months and between being scammed etc, it really beginning to get tedious at this stage!

Again thanks for your input everyone!
