Pilkington is the genuine replacement, they make the screens for LR. The screen you had taken out was a replacement screen, the originals have LR logo on them.

Veltrio is South African I think. Not heard of much here in the UK but they are aftermarket (copy). AFAIK, Pilkington are the OE for RR. Aftermarket glass usually do result in sensor functionality issues as well as heater failure too. It's a cheap product./

hope you get sorted I had a windscreen replaced just before xmas in a Peugeot 206 cc . It was fitted by autoglass from insurers esure they made a total cock up of it broke the scuttle pan covers it leaked and they cut the wires to my Bluetooth unit . I complained and after 10 days I had another screen fitted by another company from Peugeot found out that the screen wasn't correct one by then the dashboard was discoloured where water had ingressed the lights have never worked correctly since steering arm was wet is a total nightmare so much that car is on a sorn now awaiting a court case with insurers hope you get sorted 1937 model y hot rod 1000bhp rover75 v8 vincert blackshadow plus several boats and other toyz ! ford f150 raptor Mercedes e class convertible jaguar f pace |

I had my windscreen replaced yesterday by Euro Windscreens. I specifically asked them to fit a Pilkington screen so they ordered it and then fitted it on the driveway when it had come into stock.

^I Agree that Autoglass can do a proper job, but as with everything it tends to be down to the individual fitter. Did they send 2 chaps to do yours? When I had mine done on the old car I insisted on taking it to their depot in derby so they could have 2 chaps work on it at the same time. Which they did and did a top job too. I think the depots have now shut so can't do that anymore.......

nothing to do with range rover, but, had my old 1999 fiesta work van screen go. guy turned up got his trestle out, put new screen on it. i went in to boil the kettle, i did, and made him one, i took it out to him, and he was fitting the mirror to the inside... all done! he said it was an easy one. must have been five minutes work!
