Well, none of that worked.

Now wonder whether the T80 is the incorrect remote?

I tried disconnecting the battery, tried disconnecting the receiver unit tried the off button, tried the on button.

Huh. Is there a sticker on the receiver anywhere? There might be a number of some sort with a T80 or 90 or whatever in it. Do you have the longish plug on the reciever or the nearly square plug? If you can get a Webasto number of some sort I'll try to call Webasto on Mon for you.

Is there no other board member with a pre-06 and remote pre-heat?

I'll give them a call on Mon.

Dan, all the important 8's in the stickers look a little funny. Just to make sure:
- on the receiver it's Telestart T80 and below Webasto it's 9006744A correct?
- on the remote it's also T80 correct?

Kinda strange - on the sticker with the LR part # on the receiver it has the same 900.. number as on the Webasto sticker below except it's 52A instead of 44A.

The remote is a T90 and the receiever is a T90 - dunno why I was on about a T80 before. More haste less speed me thinks.

I've Just borrowed a spare remote the very generous Fin until i get mine. Only Took a minute to program.

It's a T90 exactly like yours Dan. We removed Fuse 59 (behind the glovebox) for 5 seconds, replaced and pressed the off button on the remote until it gave a constant LED.

Hi Dan,
Before you get rid of the remote, here is what the Webasto guy told me:
He was surprised to hear that there were 2 stickers with Webasto part numbers on the receiver. The number 9006744A is a universal T90 receiver - the number 9006752A is listed in his records as a LR specific receiver. He could not say whether LR got marque specific components or just re-stickered universal Webasto components. All he could say was that some manufacturers got some vehicle specific components some of the time (!). He did acknowledge that for some of the German manufacturers, the universal components worked some of the time but sometimes they don't and that this could be the case with your RR. Confused yet?
BUT he did confirm that the LR-specific, Webasto part numbered 9006752A receiver should be compatible with the LR-specific, Webasto part numbered 9006738A remote...
He is sending me instructions on how to synchronize the remote. I'll either post them or pass them on to you as soon as I have them. Give it another try. If it doesn't work, either their info is wrong or your remote is defective.

I suppose the good news is, that with the part number 44A on your receiver you should be able to use a universal T90 remote. Rolling Eyes

Steve,

Thanks for that info. It's interesting that the part# on my remote is for a newer Vin range, even though from looking around, the remotes look the same Confused

Maybe there is a small difference, I wonder if the remotes can be re-flashed - it looks like there is a diagnostics connector in the remote (the 5 metal contacts in the pic i posted next to the 3d barcode)

Dan - My new one has arrived from ebay. I'll get the part number once someone is at home to open it and ring me. Probably in the next few hours.

These are all the numbers off the sticker :
webasto
t90

9006731A (Not 8A as i expected)

It also has no batteries Sad. Which ones do i need to get if it works ?

Dan - where is that Telestart unit situated in the car? I'm really keen to find out if ours has this fitted. If all I need is a remote, I'll be a happy man! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
