Collected my new AB a few days ago.



This is my first ever Land Rover product, so totally new to the brand. Never driven anything else from LR to date.

Very initial impressions, after only driving the car around 50 miles so far on a mix of motorways and inner city.
(previously owned E92 M3, 2006 S Class, 2009 X6, Merc E250 Coupe, Renault Megan RS250 Cup)

Seats - Some of the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a car. Only briefly tried the massage seats so not sure if they're much more than a gimmick yet, but time will tell. Cooled seats could probably do with being a bit more "cooling", especially in the 38c heat we had today here, but other wise great

Body Roll - Surprisingly very little body Roll for a vehicle this size. My mind is expecting much more of a roll but the whole vehicle just stays much flatter than I expect. Pretty impressed. Less dynamic than my X6, but I didn't buy this car for that. L405 leaps and bounds ahead in every other respect.

Infotainment System - No surprise but Ive experienced better. Couldn't get left RSE to work at first, and after a reboot it worked fine. Sat Nav directions are actually surprisingly alright after Ive managed to enter the destination, which takes a while to enter mind you

Engine - Ive got the SDV8. Nothing else to compare it to, love the torque and probably suits the kind of inner city driving and weekly/fortnightly trips I will do. Im not sure if I want to test drive a SC tho for fear of wanting one badly, so I'll just say I'm perfectly happy with my SDV8.

Park Assist - Used for the first time ever (on any vehicle). Pretty impressive and worked well.

Surround cameras - I find these pretty handy on a car this size. Not completely necessary, but very handy indeed

Adaptive Cruise - First time Ive tried this too on any vehicle. I think it works very well, and the torquey SDV8 mated to the 8 speed transmission works well with this Adaptive Cruise.

Overall very happy with the car. The levels of refinement, comfort and overall feel are very impressive.
That and when dropping my daughter off at gymnastics today, had a very nice young blonde mother come up to me complimenting me on the Car. Cant complain

I hope to give more of an insight once I've put some proper miles on the car

very nice jkay....leave the suspension on whatever mode you are comfortable with...the occasional up/down will help flex the rubbers.. ... - .- -.

Congratulations with your purchase, looks beautiful! Don't drive a Supercharged. You can park the vehicle without lowering the suspension. Access height is there for convenience and for restricted height car parks. Have you thought about fitting the electronic side steps? It will save you lowering the suspension all the time.

CSK I have actually. Not sure whether I want fixed or deployable side steps. I'm waiting for quotes from local dealers but have heard nothing back.

I'm tempted to order the kit myself from LR UK (VAT FREE), and see if a local LR dealer here would be willing to fit it for me.

I would tell you not to test drive the SC but i wont because i have one . MY15 5.0SC
