Whenever i turn left i get a noise that sounds like a fan catching the noise varies on when it happens as sometimes it's as soon as you start to turn and other times at 1/4 turn but it never does it when stationary ,i've had a look under the left arch as that's where it sound like it's coming from and can't see anything  L322 2008 vogue

Does the noise vary with speed, i.e. change in pitch according to speed, if it does it sounds like the tyre is catching on the inner wing somewhere...

check the dust shields on the back of the discs, they go rotten and touch the disc when turning, usual problem and definitely worth checking.

Put the wheels on full lock both ways and the suspension in off road height, then get your head in the wheelarch, you should be able to see if the tyre is catching on something, it'll be the rear of the left arch or the front of the right arch... that's still my best guess... Pete
