Strange oil leak 2011 4.4 tdv8

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this strange oil leak on the left hand side- (drivers side) front of the engine? The whole engine cover is full of oil in that area.
There is no dripping on the driveway just on the top of the engine and it seems that is getting spilt all over by the fan.
Any ideas ?
Many thanks.

The oil pump is below that and they can develop leaks. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thanks JayGee. I did try to have a look under all those hoses and cables but couldn't spot anything.
Is there any particular spot i should look at ?
Thanks.

It's driven by the aux belt so is well hidden. I'm not saying it 'IS' the oil pump but it's a good possibility. Download the workshop manual from the bottom part of the WIKI section

and it will show you where everything is. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Thanks.
I will have a look at the wiki now. It makes sense why the drive belt is squeaking in the morning when the car its started Shocked

I suspect a split connecting tube or split seam in the donut.

BTW, the oil pump is driven internally directly by flats on the crankshaft.

As in the split in the rubber hose connecting plenum and intake manifold?
