I think that's a fantastic result - you get a newer car, for not much inconvenience |

Isn't there some way you can test drive your new car before you accept it, don't you get the opportunity to do what the dealer should have done, a proper PDI and highlight issues before you sign for it...??? Pete

You are right. Should have been picked up on the Pdi.

I heard recently there is a nose weight limit on the deployable towbar which excludes many normal twin axle tin tents - might be worth checking if that your use. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Ajac8. Thanks for tip re towbar. It is for a boat (6.5m RIB) so I will check weights. Good tip. |

It's the off road weight that's limited with the powered to bar - on road is fine as is nose weight - as long as 150-200kg is sufficient......

Got my replacement today... The sun roof blind didn't work properly, so left it at the dealer.. but soon resolved as something had been left in place that shouldn't have been (a shipping magnet in the centre of the blind) and they then drove it out to me. Saved me another trip but shame it hadn't been picked up as part of PDI. However, will have to take it back in to sort out the drivers door as the soft close does not work. On the positive side, got 9500 miles of "free" motoring in the original. It will make a fantastic used buy for somebody... |

It's great that they did the right thing re the mis-build - but you really would have thought they'd have PDI'd the new one to death before you arrived |

The driver's door soft close is disabled at the factory, and should be enabled during the PDI. It is a simple procedure to switch it on. The same oversight occurred with me. |
