I think the tow bar will fit. It is the armature (the huge chunk of metal under the car) that changed between MY06 onwards - to do with the exhaust mountings.

Pre 06, the exhaust hangers bolt upwards to the chassis iirc and had to undo them to get the supporting brackets of the armature on.

The car already has a non-detachable towbar (I hate them).

From looking at the fitting instructions the Armitage will not be there.

I believe all the fittings and fitting points are the same, and I've had a westfalia detachable tow bar fitted to an 11 Vogue SE and the only difference as mentioned is that two of the fixing points share the exhaust bolts so with the tow bar fitted, the exhaust hangs about 1 inch lower.

Can't find anyone to do weld hangers on, so it's a new beam.

it depends the type of tow bar on the car. is it a LR or Westfalia farmers type or a brink/witter type?
