Mine too. But not often. I'll watch this with interest. I have the iid, so any instructions are most welcome. Cheers. |

Me as well , I used to think it was the cold but clearly not the case here . Both cars have done it and it's very random so I just ignore it . Every year or so there is a post about it so it's not that uncommon but no one has ever got to the bottom of this . 2008 MY Supercharged

i dont think its a big concern Mike as [you say] it will correct itself , but by switching the display off using voice command ,the display comes back straight away to full brightness..

It could be to do with the auto light sensor that dims the screen, this time of year on these dull dark days especially if you have tinted windows the inside of the car can be pretty dark so naturally the screen will dim as it thinks its night time |

it wont be that as that dial controls the speedo/rev lighting and thats not affected when the screen goes dim...as it happens the lowest setting on the dial is still brighter than the screen when it has its hic-cup.. ... - .- -.

Have searched the forum for posts related to this, but no luck (yet) finding a definitive answer/solution. My 2008 HSE has developed this exact problem. It has a brand-new screen from the dealer (thank you, extended warranty) AND a software fix related to the system staying stuck on the Land Rover oval while it turns itself off and on every two seconds. That problem seems to have disappeared after the software fix — but this morning, dim again on startup. The truck is parked in a subterranean garage every night and it was 50 degrees Fahrenheit in Dallas this morning. Any further info on this problem? |
