Sat nav unlock - who can do this?

HI all,

I thought this would be a common topic, but I can't find anything with the search tool. Basically, the touchscreen satnav in my 2005MY wont let you input anything on the move as it greys out the buttons. I gather that this is a simple diagnostic task to go in and unlock it (ie permanently, not using the pin-code hack which gets tiresome after a while), but can someone other than a main dealer do this?
I've just rung Hunters of Chester to ask if they could, but was told to I need to make an appointment as they "can't diagnose over the phone" - and that it would be "up to £99" for diagnostic work to be carried out Shocked NW060

for config of ccf files ,iidtools are locked to the vin number of that particular vehicle so unless its a multi license tool then you wont be able to get it done..

an iidtool is a sound investment as many members have found... ... - .- -.

A dealer can do it. But for what you'll pay you may as well pay a couple of hundred quid more and get an IID tool to do it yourself and still have an IID tool for doing other things.
