Sat Nav screen pixel fault.

Hi folks Happy New Year to you all.
I have got an issue which no body seems to have mentioned in the posts that I can find.
2004 4.4 vogue sat nav/ ent sys. screen. After standing un-used over the last month the display has developed a fault where by the pixels in the lower RH of the display are dead and look as though the screen has delaminated in an area about the size of a twenty pence. It has not been damp or frosted to the best of my knowledge. Any ideas please.
Question.
Can this be repaired or is it a case of a second hand replacement unit.
If so has anyone got a serviceable spare one kicking about at a reasonable price. Eddie the eagle watch out 👀

Any Photos?
I presume it isnt touch. If it is the LCD it could be due to excess pressure on the corner preventing the two surfaces to the LCD working properly. Has the plastic surround been damaged?
If it is a damaged LCD it will be unrepairable and need replacing i.e the LCD itself or the complete head unit. I seem to remember someone posting about a US company who did LCD replacements services.

the screen is often seen on ebay. people are selling these off, as they upgrade to an android head unit. -there wouldnt be anything behind it, in the tape player front would there?
-also, i cant rememebr how hard it was to take out the screen, as i have done mine, but i seem to remember, it was dashtop off, and somehow find the small bracket side screws using a very magnetic screwdriver, and unplugging a couple of ribbon connectors. you sort of need to open up the tape access, and have someone disconnect the battery, as it will time out, and wind back flat etc.
but it would be easier to change the whole display/tape unit as a whole.
i think!

Pixel pics

Here are a few images of the offending article.
I can't see any damage to frame or to the face of the screen, for the life of me I cannot think of any way it could have sustains impact or vibration or shock as it has been stood at home.
But if anyone can come up with a cheep good soloution it would be deemed a great favour. Eddie the eagle watch out 👀

Very Unusual. Definetly a damaged LCD with no fix. Nice dog by the way. I have never seen anything like that and I can only think something in front or behind caused it. Do you have any strong magnets. Cigarette lighter?

If I were you I would jump at the android upgrade, it would give you so much more and just make the car
excellent rather than just great.
