so deposit paid on this today , having it inspected just to make sure its mostly above board, some of the photos in the ad showed the rear left air spring was sagging but Ive been informed thats fixed. Fully loaded with everything I wanted except a towbar , but that's an easy fix.

Nice looking 3.6 that. Good colour combo Thumbs Up

Starter for 10 and £50 is the two top intercooler hoses, which are simply held on with 2 jubilee clips each. Will stop you getting stranded when the originals let go (which if they haven't been changed yet will at some point). There are a few silicone kits around which are worth a look too Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Starter ? do they go often in these, or do you mean for starters ?

52,000 miles on it and it was serviced at 49,000 so I won't be servicing it for a while, aside from turbo hoses, anything I should budget for needing doing in the next 6-12 months.

Meant for starters..... So don't panic Thumbs Up

Rear calipers can stick, but are cheap too.

Would get the diff and transfer box oils changed, and a transmission oil and filter change for peace of mind. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

fluid change was going to be done anyway, anytime i buy second hand 4x4s its a decent idea. Hopefully it all checks out and I can go collect it next week or so.

Mark, have you changed the transmission oil and filter on yours yet, even at such low miles/ young age (I've changed the front/ rear diff oils and the transfer case fluid but not the transmission oil/ filter)?

Thumbs Up

not got round to it yet Ryan, I am going to get them to do the diffs and trans box when it goes in for its next oil service. pondering on the box, its just ticked over 40K so may leave it until the next oil change at 50K as we aren't doing so much towing with it as yet. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Right lads , have a little bit of an issue, had a check done on the car from totalcarcheck beforehand and all came back clear, due to a slight wobble with the dealer thats now resolved about the V5 being present I got a little worried and did a HPI check, now between the MOT data and and the HPI check data I have the following table of mileage , Im inclined to think that the one highlighted in orange is a mistake , but just to put me at ease.

Is there any known case of a 2010MY being clocked ?
is there anywhere else that may log the mileage that I could possibly check to give me a better idea ? (in Ireland we basically have nothing to log mileage so its even a miracle that I got this as far as I'm concerned)

Also I asked LR about the service history, but they lack it, dealer apparently has all the history and Ill be checking and calling before handing over the money but Im wondering is there any records stored on the key or in the car I can have read with a computer.

Has been very little used over the last few years by the look of it.

First couple of years had higher than average milage, but the last couple has only logged 1-2k per annum, so stans comment above seems fair.

I seem to recall that the milage is logged in several ecu in the car (could be wrong though) though knocking 10k miles off a car would have some benefit to sale price it has a fairly average milage tally in any case so wouldn't make a whole heap of beans money wise. The only reason i could think someone would bother would be to reduce it down so it is under a contracted milage on PCP. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

was inherited by the last keeper in july 2012 so id say the new current owner is a low mile user, or its been passed around to a few dealers, its being examined by dekra this week and ill be double checking everything so ill know soon enough whats up with it.

ok so its all been inspected and has come back with a mostly positive report. Paint is all original and hasn't been touched up , electrics all good, driving all good. tracking slightly off but its not as a result of any suspension component failure.

engineer said theres some evidence of oil at the top front of the engine and a little evidence of oil at the gearbox but neither look new and it isn't dripping or losing fluids while running.

any suggestions of if these may be horrifically expensive or is there any simple and obvious things that may be causing this ?

Evidence of oil from the engine, evidence of oil from the gearbox - that seems to be a classic set of issues Smile 12 4.4 TDV8 Vogue
