Just wondered… if I wanted to pass a bunch of cables through from the cabin to the engine bay, is there a ready made route I can use?

Yep. I ran the coax and power cable for my UHF radio through that grommet. I snaked a well lubed piece of 1.6mm welding rod through first and used it to pull through the coax and figure-8 power cable. I can't remember if I had to remove the end piece of the dash that holds the cup holder to get access to the welding rod after it came through or just the end closing panel. It was some years ago. Just drop the glove box down and open the bonnet and you should find a route.

Thanks Gary. You seem to have the same set up as I do. I found the huge boot that, worst comes to worst, I can cut and silicone around the wires, but can’t get to the cabin side.
