Air susp inactive

My suspension has locked, with the light on in the height switch and the warning on the dash.

Just had the codes read and it said something like fluid reservoir and can bus.

We cleared the codes and the pump could be heard and the vehicle went up and down when requested.

However the warning reappeared after about a 5 min drive.

Having read similar posts on here I'm thinking height sensor.

Question being, how do I find out which one and how easy are they to change.

Check you brake fluid!

If this is low it will lock out the suspension for safety reasons. .

If it is a height sensor you should be getting an "articulation fault".

Worth checking it is not an airbag (hole covered up at normal ride height so no air lost) Put in off road height, and turn off engine. Listen for hissing, lift each wheelarch. Soapy water etc.

Whilst in offroad height, easier to check underneath (without getting under!) for broken height sensors. Rears more difficult easier to take the wheel off for a good look

Need to check the fault codes again. Did the garage/friend clear all as the air suspension fault get logged in several ECUs and can come back!

Ah, sure it wasn't an air reservoir fault? These can be "fun" to sort out - valve block / pressure relief valves? .
