Canada 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Santorini Black
if anyone has the time can they offer advice?

I bought a 2007 L322 supercharged in the summer, since i got it it had no low range nor any error messages etc when button pushed. I had other things to do to the vehicle (Hawke ceramic brakes, new rear callipers, new front bushes, oil and filters etc) I have to say, she’s a wonderful vehicle coming from three new mercedes in a row its nice to finally have a machine that just mostly works, or to say when it works it works Very Happy

Anyhow, brought it to a very nice independent specialist and they searched for codes, I will type exactly as they did.

Low range not operating.
code P0562-00 Found in transfer case module (system voltage to low). No codes in transmission control module, all terrain control module, and power train module.

Has anyone had this issue? The code being in this particular module does that mean say that module isn’t getting proper power or may it mean in general (battery, alternator, wires, grounds) I have on my list of to do’s to change the battery, doesn’t seem right size, then plugs are next . any advice would be very appreciated. thank you

Does the low range physically work as it should without errors appearing when you select it each time?

If so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Spurious errors can occur and get logged, but it may not necessarily be an ongoing issue. V8 or else ...

Or if there is a fault perhaps someone disconnected the low range switch hence it doing nothing.

I looked at a TD6 many years ago which had just that! 2006 4.2 SC

Have you tried getting the codes cleared and the checking a day later to see if they have returned?

It may be an old code that's been fixed and never cleared from the ecu?

Shoot, I don't know if they cleared or not Sad better give a ring. There was a new battery but dealer I bought from was questionable sort to say the least. Interior was mint, exterior mint and good price so bought anyway knowing it would have fake safety and some problems. Front end was looser than over cooked noodle. Still good buy, 112,000 km Smile. Will ring shop and dig here more for voltage test procedures.

Thanks for replies. To mention, it's completely dead, while pressing button there is no reaction at all, no light, no message. Vehicle has remarkable low end, feels like diesel unit so low range hasn't been priority but decided to get on it. Engage low range on wife's lr3 every couple weeks to keep it functioning, should really be doing this to mine also.
