2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
gear changing

hi

ive been told its possible to have the gear change reprogrammed to change soonr as mine seems to change a little late. about 2000/2500 rpm and it sounds too high. is this correct

If it's doing it all the time then it sounds like a faulty ECU to me, they have a cold start mode that holds the gears to warm the engine up quicker but this should stop when the engine is up to temp... so if it does it all the time there is a fault with the gearbox ECU OR the engine isn't getting to temp, stuck thermostat would be the first place to look...

Take it for a good long run and see if it still does it.... Pete

hi again

its not all the time it does change a lot when it warms up but it still feel high around the 2000 rpm mark. the kid i spoke to said theres a way to reset the box using the accelerator etc but your the lads to say if this is so or wise to do so
