There must be guys on here who have had to do the same thing - my Defender had only the emissions sensor and no other ECU to doctor and the garage disconnected the sensor and removed the electronics to avoid problems later. The front box was replaced with a Britparts standard Defender exhaust front end. Have you tried asking an aftermarket exhaust centre about it you won't be the first customer with a BMW TD looking to remove the cat!? There's a lot of money in scrap cats because of the precious metals in them. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

I've removed cats on 3 diesel vehicles and never had a problem with them.

Yes Scarey they are because of the precious metals used in them. In fact the price went so high a couple of years ago that crooked types were sawing them off from park cars! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |
