No need to bother removing the electrics.

It comes off attached to the plastic bumper cover, so you would have removed it, but put it back on again with the bumper cover afterwards. |

Checked the boot for the Tow arm but it wasn't in the box. There was a black bung however so that's in place now and makes the whole thing look a lot better. Bit of paint on the Armature and the back box and will be nearly as good as new.

Did you use the lifting device (for want of a better description) to remove the spare wheel? John

That's what I was referring to. Not tied to the spare wheel. Sits under it with a hook arrangement which is attached to the lower tailgate when in the closed position. Opening the tailgate lifts the spare up and onto it. Then slide off. |

looking in the later handbook on topix it looks like they did. Don't see why it couldn't be retrofitted though. |

except Ford took over Land Rover in 2000, although the L322 was largely developed under BMW, they'd actually sold off the Rover group 2 years before it's launch.

Ah I remember now that is indeed the case, I have two bits that I removed permanently but would have noticed that hefty thing lying around. You do need two people for about 10 minutes to do the heavy lifting. Geoff |

Magic sponges arrived this morning so gave the seats a good going over with them and some leather cleaner rather than water and can vouch for the fact that they removed the years or grime and dirt giving a near new finish! Will still need a stain as there are some scuffs but overall a great cheap tip to clean the seats from axle! |
