FBH

Hi,

With the remote controlled aux heater, does this just provide the heat for the internal heater matrix's or heat the entire cooling system?

Tried mine this AM, interior fans come on straight away and heat comes out pretty soon after (OK it's not a cold day but engine was cold).

Just wondering how it works as nice to have pre-warned interior on cold days but also nice if poss to pre-heat engine.

Also does it warm inside up to what the heater control is set to, or just keep going, presuming up to set level as on timer setup it lets you set temp.

Thanks guys, still learning !

^^^ as above.

Fitted one to a D2 years back and made a big difference to the sound of the engine on a cold winters morning, and was nice and toasty on the inside Very Happy Regards

As well as economy i suppose it makes the engine more willing to start and reduce engine wear in really cold climates, like Poland, Finland, Siberia and Scotland.

When you use the remote or timer on the FBH it does not heat the engine , there is a by pass valve and it only heats the cabin but on starting the engine and it is below a certain temperature 7 or 8 degrees from memory it will continue to work to help bring the engine up to temperature quicker to help with emissions . 2008 MY Supercharged
