I thought they had improved them ,on my old 2010 vehicle I was being flashed all the time

I have them turned off. I thought they were awful on my L322. I don't think I have even tried them on my L405. I might turn them on now I hear they are better. |

Im driving a 2015 Nissan 4x4 thing (our hire car) and the full beam assist is light years ahead of JLR Actually works faultlessly!

The L405 ones are definitely more responsive than the L322.

Yes, the auto headlights are a bit slow to react.

I've been pretty pleased with mine so far. I did get flashed the other day though - it was a motorbike with quite a dim dipped beam.

I've used both. Neither are any good TBH. Any automatic system is going to be too slow to react regardless of sensors, software and so on. It's reactive, not proactive and thus where auto-dip of lamps is concerned, not fit for purpose.
