I am struggling trying to take the pads off. The two pins in the calliper won't move. I have managed to bend the top one trying to get it out. I assume they are meant to be hit in from the outside. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Yep you are suposed to hit them from the outside with a long punch which fits through the hole. If they are seized in place a bit of WD on the inner holes may free it up a bit. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Had a hole punch and a decent hammer. Given up. Tried plus gas too. They have not moved at all, just bent. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE

I had to cut the pins on mine after trying all of the above to no avail. If you disc cut them at both ends just to the outside of the pads and take the pads out you will find the outside tapered end comes out easily (which is why the pin bends as that moves but the other end doesn't).
