Thanks for that kind offer Alistair but I fly out on the 10th, so I doubt the timing would work.

Alan, stop being a tight Jock and buy a bloody camera, you can always use it in our lovely summer weather |

I've got a decent camera but for the few hours I'd use it underwater, I reckon it's not worth the outlay. I'd rather borrow one and repay the favour in liquid form Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Sure, the one in the photo is a DJI Phantom which are the most popular at the moment they range from around £350 to £1000 for the latest one which considering everything you can do with it and the kind of camera equipment it comes with is actually pretty reasonable.

no problem. I went for the cheaper option Syma X8W + SJ4000 1080p camera to get me started off and looking at some videos on youtube of that combo you can get some pretty impressive footage. I have only every used the little indoor ones so i thought i would just test the water with this one before spending a lot on a Phantom as lets face it with the weather here in Scotland i don't know how much i will be able to use it ! I did have a look at the DJI Phantoms and was seriously considering the Phantom 3 which is £650 but considering you can get near professional footage with one of these and around 20 minuet fly time i would say its very good value but but i would be a bit nervous starting off with something like this as good value or not i don't want to destroy a £650 machine in the first few moments using it, plenty videos of that on youtube ! but i would say that its more than likely i will get one of these at some point
