Air suspension - advice needed please

Ok , so my car went in for a service last month and the day after it came out the "air suspension inactive" light came on - thought that a bit odd as while sometimes slightly slow to reach full height when asked it has usually worked ok. Got the mechanic to reset the computer and all was well for 2 days and then it came back on again.

So, should I bite the bullet and just swap out the compressor for a new one - or buy the kit for £25 and spend the time putting it in bearing in mind the car is 11 years old and therefore so is the motor and the rest of the compressor - I intend to keep the car so while money is tight at the moment I am leaning towards a new one and then at least I know its good

So finally, as I am in Northern Ireland if I do decide to go down the full replacement road, where would be the best place to buy one at a reasonable rate?

try a battery reset first with the obligatory steering parameter setting procedure....not saying this will solve your problem but you never know.. ... - .- -.

The only part that wears is the piston ring, the motor should outlive your FF by years...

Re ringed my 2002 well used example and it is back to factory spec....

Got to be worth the gamble.... Thumbs Up Pete

Get your mechanic to tell you what the fault is! Evil or Very Mad

You can spend money and time chasing a fault.... Thumbs Up .
