2007 TDV8 gas pedal response.

Just a quick question about normal gas pedal response in these. Does you car also seem to be very 0/1 in this matter?

I have a feeling that when I want it to start moving applying up to half the throttle can be barely felt, car seems sluggish, laggy, but when you floor it it goes fine and quite fast for its weight. Feels a bit as if there was not much inbetween, kind of like crawl or run Smile

Is something wrong with my car or do they all do this?

I realise i came into this TDV8 from a 911 Turbo so I do not expect amazing off the line performance as it is one heave boat on wheels but still just the gas pedal response itself seems a bit strange.

There is a around half a second turbo lag coming from low revs before the first turbo spins up, once it has, seams fine, could that be what you are experiencing?

It's never going to drive like a Porsche unfortunately. __________________

The throttle linkage is electronic. The pedal is basically a big potentiometer which may be faulty. Though as said above coming from a petrol car to a big TD will introduce a bit of throttle lag from standstill. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I can relate to this......my 2006 SC throttle is very sensitive. If I need to accelerate from say a slow speed and just want to do so gently there feels like there is literally mm in the throttle required. Any more than that and all hell is let loose, kicks down etc. and you're off. It is a bit tiring and I have wondered whether there is any kid of throttle body that needs cleaning. It sounds like I am not alone! 2006 4.2 SC
