2004 with 119k miles. This is probably nothing but being new to RR I am still unfamiliar with the idiosyncratic nature. I was taking some pics of the bad pixels of the instrument cluster with the key in position 1. Maybe about 1 minute. Went to start and it auto cranked but didn't fire up. Listened for odd noises but only heard the NAV unit looking for CD. Pulled key out, waited about 30 seconds and tried again. Started right up. I park on a hill of about 20 degrees. Haven't started it in about 3 days. I have the left rear door card off and was troubleshooting the door lock. Had the actuator plug disconnected but it was connected before starting. Any ideas? Thanks |

Mine does some funny things like that when I'm playing with it, I presume it's the immobiliser cutting in... I just take the key out, lock, then unlock the car and it will start up fine....

Oh that makes me feel better. If I could just sell my Toyota Camry I can justify the IDtool. Then it feel much much better. |
