i'd disconnect the battery and do the lock to lock as suggested by tim ^ ..............procedure is in the wiki.. ... - .- -.

If the cars been driven to the garage and the dash lights have still not gone off by themselves then you have a hard fault issue... The ABS sensors are always seized as they are glue’d into the hubs during production Cant remember the last time i had to change one on a 322 if ever!!! |

I've not removed on on an L322, but they can be absolute pigs to get out on most cars. Even if they're not glued in they're usually put in dry (ie without copper grease) so they rust in there. Getting a drill on them is often a pig as you have to dismantle half the suspension just to get at it, then you find most of the fixings for that are seized too. |

drilled one out on mine - easy with plenty of room - 30 minutes at most.
