It was bound to happen, and yesterday was the day that the driver’s side seat valance trim broke off.

I replaced mine a couple of years ago. It started creaking when the screw hole bit bust. Some tabs broke when removing it.

Did mine with vinyl then colour matched with trim paint, looks much better now...

Can anyone describe exactly how these trims come off, preferably without breaking anything.

Screw at the back, overcatch arrangement at the front, then pull it off towards the door, most of the catches will have broken off though... then unclip the switch pack and lumbar button... Pete

Had the same issue with so making one out of steal ,if that goes OK I will make another out of alli when I get some pure argon for the tig welder .

It's fixed to flimsy plastic bits on the seat though... would need a redesign and better mounting... Pete

The clips got fixed with contact adhesive the day before, however the fixing point at the rear, of the valance is the tricky part. I think that most people have an issue with this.

May be a much easier job for removal and refitting by removing the seat from the car, only five bolts (inc. seatlbelt) and disconnect the power seat connector (maybe good to disconnect battery also). Then you can really see what is going on. .
