2010 Touch screen cleaning

Anyone tried with any success to clean the central touch screen? The handbook says clean with a lightly moistened cloth but this does very little to remove the pesky finger marks so obvious on a sunny day.

I know chemicals are generally a no-no but wonder if anyone has ben rebellious enough..

I bought a matte iPad screen saver, cut it to size, fitted it and 'voila' all sorted now... No more fingerprints Thumbs Up

Alcohol wipes will do it.

Camera lens cleaner should also be fine.

Even a dry micorfibre cloth should get rid of most of it.

Just to add to this thread, most 09> ff.’s i see have significant wear on the screens where fingers press the same place over and over again... JLR seam to have used a poor standard of touchscreen material as they wear very early on in their lives!!! Rolling Eyes

Im sure some will mistakenly identify this as dirt Shocked

The method i suggested above also covers the wear too Thumbs Up

Craig, thanks for the tip about the iPad screen saver. I cleaned my 2012 screen with the cloth that was supplied in the LR wallet that contains the handbook etc (I don't know if it is standard LR issue or was put in by the dealer) and found that there were residual wear marks on the screen exactly as you described. I take it that the screen saver just adheres to the screen without any adhesive or other fixing? Only Range Rovers since 1988
