I can only assume that it's for the Americans. They have to put their lights on when it rains. At least in Florida anyway. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

hi, try disconnecting the rain sensor as the auto lights picks up its info from the rain sensor, this being the cheaper unit i would try this first, what lights come on,is it full head lights, dipped of just sides..what year is yours

I thinks it may be the Rain/Light sensor needs fixing or replacing.

I would have thought it normal for lights to come on with wipers. TDV8 HST Sport **Current**

Yes, on my wife's Volvo it's the same, lights start when wipers are used. On my Disco 3 it was also like this so it's not a fault, it's a feature.

mick, i think a little more info is needed here....you say the lights come on when the wipers are on, are we talking side lights only or full head lights, how about when you use your washers and your wipers wipe..do the lights come on.is your light switch set to auto or off..

Lights set to auto position ,Daylight hours , one sweep of the wipers full headlights on , after one sweep of windscreen, wipers off, full headlights off ,

2nd sweep same as the first , sensor and windscreen clean so rules out a dirty screen
