By the way, I wasn't trying to be funny...

But it does seem odd when you have a guy buying new vehicles which sends a lot of cash to LR, but the benefits given out by LR go to anyone who a dealer likes (no offence intended anyone - please don't flame me. Embarassed ) even if they don't buy new ones that fund the events in the first place.

2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

6 out of 8 of the Land Rovers I have owned I purchased as new (only my Defender and the current car were "pre-owned"). I have never been able to get the sort of discount most folks seem to take for granted in the south and used I used my own money not company fleet purchasing power.

It is very nice to be considered for a freebie now and again after paying for others to get their cars cheaply through their fleet buyer's ability to get a massive discount. Don't forget too that for every new car I have bought a low mileage used car goes into the used car market for somebody else to buy! If idiots like me didn't buy full priced new cars then there won't be nice used cars for others to buy. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Dealers were asked to carefully nominate their best Range Rover customers which I did. Sadly I'd love to have invited every RR customer, however I had to whittle it down to those who had been particularly loyal through multiple purchases or regular aftersales custom.

To be fair, there were customers that I would have invited, however I know that they would have been too busy or it wouldn't have been their cup of tea.

Same old - If your face fits and you have plenty of dosh then.

Don't think it would change them that got the invites, they would still buy if they wanted too.

Makes me wonder, in future, about using a stealer, as my money is obviously not as good as some.

Have a chat to your local dealer as they may have a space or cancellation.

....... but don't call them a stealer to their face!!! Laughing
