Its NOT 5mm’s!

285/35/22 means 285mm’s wide / 35% of the 285mm’s width is the side wall height and finally 22” is the rim size.

So, 35% of 285mm’s is 99.75mm’s
40% of 285mm’s is 114mm’s
so, the difference in height of the two tyres is 15mm’s! Stands to reason the rolling circumference of the tyre will be somewhere approaching 100mm as stated above...

Thats a massive difference between axles!
