I searched and searched and searched and was able to find my 285/40/22 Toyo Proxies STII's for around $900 shipped. Granted I don't know if they would ship to that side of the pond (would probably be too much) but that was a heck of a deal. |

sorry for late reply Craig, I use tyreleader.co.uk and have them delivered. So are we saying either 275 or 305 width, with 40 profile should be fine? I never load it up (unless mrsblonde does with shopping ) so guessing the 305 wouldnt rub? |

I wouldn't say either - I'd say 275 is good but you could go up to 305 - depending on sidewall height) so anything in between is OK as long as you don't go taller. |

Read the post again, the user had to modify the fuel spout cover etc to stop them continually rubbing... |

Had the 285/40x22 fitted to the back this afternoon and they look great. Still got 2 fairly good 285/35x22 on the front, with 5-6mm tread left on them, it doesnt look odd but should i change the fronts too ASAP? Will the extra 5mm make a lot of difference? I know not ideal, but has anyone ever done it for a few weeks? |
