If your RR's in good shape (batt, alternator) and you aren't trying to jump something that is absolutely out of whack (a WWII Fiat truck with an 8.5L diesel or a battery that hasn't seen a charge since 1962 - or both ) I wouldn't worry that much. Just take all the usual precautions. The RR's alternator is plenty strong and a good battery is a huge buffer. And the L322's electronics aren't made of paper-machee anymore like on the P38 - they are relatively robust.
