Think you better sit down when you ask the price of a new one, I'd hit ebay.... Pete

I've bought 2 from ebay and both of them suffered from the dreaded wobble which I've been unable to resolve.......so I would bite the bullet and buy a new one. Not difficult to fit at all - you just need to remove the door card first then it just unbolts. 2017 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography

Cheers, am I right in thinking that there is a powerful video about removing the door card?

There are different versions of mirrors, but most of the components of the FFRR mirror are the same as for the Freelander 2.
I found it considerably cheaper to buy a new Freelander 2 mirror off ebay (£80) and rebuild it all on to the old mounting plate

so fitted the two mirrors..... two problems...

passengers side one - the mirrors moves but the heating element seems to turn itself on?

drivers side - mirror won't move.....

mirrors that were on before were fine even when they were smashed up...... i can only see this being faulty mirrors......not happy

Andy

Take the door card back off and double check all the connectors are pushed fully home. I had a similar problem when I removed the door card in that some of the functions didn't work properly. The problem was that one of the connector blocks wasn't properly connected.
