Are you saying you were empty and put in £20 of fuel and then run it to empty 20 miles later ? You need to clarify how you measured the quantity against the distance. |

17mpg averaged on my 4.4 no matter what combination of motorway and country roads. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

It sounds like the fuel gauge is dicky. I put £20 in yesterday to an empty tank and it showed a range of 452 miles, or a prediction of nearly 100mpg! But I know that my fuel senders are up the spout and in need of attention. |

Once I get it on the road properly I can then fill up to the brim & see what I'm getting. I did have an ambient temp sensor fault, checked it out & for some reason it was unplugged. I've connected it back up & now the car doesn't think its -40c outside I have ran it a little & seems to be better than before, could the temp sensor have caused an economy issue if it thinks it's -40c outside as trying to warm up the engine? 2004 RR 4.4 V8 Autobiography |
