Are you saying you were empty and put in £20 of fuel and then run it to empty 20 miles later ? You need to clarify how you measured the quantity against the distance. |

17mpg averaged on my 4.4 no matter what combination of motorway and country roads. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

It sounds like the fuel gauge is dicky. I put £20 in yesterday to an empty tank and it showed a range of 452 miles, or a prediction of nearly 100mpg! But I know that my fuel senders are up the spout and in need of attention. |

18,8 mpg over the last 122000 kms (equals to 15 litres per 100kms)

2005 ajv8 4.4 so far 17.9 round town and 24 on motorway runs (driver only) at 70 to 80 mph.

Once I get it on the road properly I can then fill up to the brim & see what I'm getting. I did have an ambient temp sensor fault, checked it out & for some reason it was unplugged. I've connected it back up & now the car doesn't think its -40c outside |

I averaged 17 mpg on the 2003 4.4v8 and am now getting 18mpg from my 5.0SC |
