Would you know what this loose wire is supposed to do/ where it should go? it sits on the right hand side of the engine block (passenger side)[/b]

looks like the connector for the changover valve on the FBH park/heat system, it sits on the bulkhead where the heater hoses enter the bulkhead

would it be fitted on this black plastic bracket 2nd pic?

without looking i think it is supplied on a bracket and it fits on the threaded bolt above ,
that part just holds the extra heater pipe work in place
