could I have some recommendations for a dog ramp please?

My Golden Retriever tried arguing with a van and came off considerably worse - he may yet lose a fore leg.

Plenty of ramps out there, had one years ago for our newfoundlands good bit of kit.

I had a ramp in my GMC but it was home made. You could have a look at the ones used for motorbike, they are light (aluminium), strong and you can get them with a hinge in the middle.

Oh dear poor dog, I hope he recovers quickly, I have a tri-folding ramp to get my dog into the back of the Range Rover - about £70 from online pet stores, they then fold up and sit in the back.

Poor thing. I import wheelchairs etc, including aluminium ramps, would happily let you have one at my cost if that helps.

I will continue to look at this but I think he is going to be housebound for a couple of months at least. I will then get an idea if I need something that wide or if he can negotiate a narrower ramp.

Do they do them long enough to get up to the back of a Rangie?

Hi - just worked out how to post pics - so here is the ramp I use for my pooch, as you can see it folds out when needed and then all folds up again and sits next to the cage in the back.

Biggest problem is stopping the dog running up it when you have it half unfolded and not in place when your getting him back in after his walk - but it gives anyone watching from another car a giggle I suppose

Hope that helps for when he is back on his feet.
