How to unblock sunroof drains?

I have an old thread about this but I am hoping someone can shed some light on how to unblock these sunroof drains?

When it rains, usually heavy rain, from above the front passenger seat in the sunroof area I hear a gurgling noise, oddly this appears to start and stop when the cabin blowers are on or perhaps this is coincidence.

I am no expert Surprised but it sounds to me like a drain is blocked on the left side of the sunroof area. I have no idea how to unblock it or where it is. I have heard it is under the car somewhere.

Is anyone able to tell me where all of the drains are and how many there should be. Also, any tips on how best to unblock them.

I am presuming that this gurgling noise on the one side of the sunroof is due to this??

I have this noise also, I only tend to notice if I have the blind back so tended not to give it much thought until I saw your post. No obvious back up of water or leaks so will be interested to see replies There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Not had to do it, but I understand it is best to use the cord from a strummer and push it down. It's strong enough to push the dirt out but bendy enough for the corners......

If you use compressed air, you can blow the tubes off the connectors and then you will be Censored

As to where they are..... I'm not sure.

Must be a diagram somewhere......

Some pics of the front ones here http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic14068....roof+drain

I have done it myself after hearing the gurgling and used some pvc coated washing line which was rigid enough to shift the dirt from below without damaging the rubber tubes. After you clear the dirt pour some warm water into the top drains with the sunroof open to make sure it runs free from below. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the info, I guess I can crank it to off-road height to access the drains. I presume the top drains are easy to spot in the sunroof area also Smile Will wait for some better weather and add to my list of jobs to do.

Just make sure you don't leave it too long especially if you are seeing misted up windows which probably means the carpets are getting wet and time to get the Pampers out Big Cry

Yes understood but it's odd as my carpets are not wet nor do I have misted up windows. I don't have any leaks.
