Did that last year and it worked all winter! Original problem was the door stuck open or closed due to frost. WD40 immediate cure best applied with the straw direct into key slot and then onto the mechanism. ![]() |

If there is a heavy frost, then run a credit card along the top edge of the door before you open it, as sometimes the rubber seal will weld itself to the roof of the Range. If you don't do this, then the seal can stick to the roof and pull itself away from the door as you open it, which will permanently damage the seal. |

I used to use vasaline on door seals, then read somewhere that wasn't a good idea.... |

Thanks for the tip re WD40 Dan I guess its just a quick fix if you really cannot shut the door a position I was faced with! |
