Wheel alignment post strut change?

I've got to change the front r/h strut due to a leaky airbag. Does the front wheel alignment need doing afterwards? thinking more of camber rather than toe in/out.

Also can the iid tool let all the air out of just one strut?

Best to change both at the same time, due to the shock absorbers within.

I didn't have wheel alignment redone when I changed out my front struts, and didn't affect handling or tyre wear, but I guess it can't hurt to have it done, but have a four wheel alignment done, and ensure all bushes at rear are OK.

IIRC you can let all the air out of the back or the front, but not individually with IID. .

If the bag has a hole you won't need to deflate it sir Whistle

As said above, always do them in pairs sir Thumbs Up

And finally, yes its best practice to do 4 wheel alignment afterwards to be sure its right Thumbs Up

Actually you can deflate individual corners using the test valve function - but it is better to do a "deflate all" as the suspension has no air afterwards and cannot shift anymore until you run the engine so that the compressor switches on. Depending on how you have the RR jacked up to do the work, you may not want to have the corners on the ground to self level while you are doing work under the car Shocked

And besides, you will need to do both fronts, as Joe and Craig have suggested Smile
