Granted Craig you don't need a snorkel to drive down the road or up a hill, and I think you need a closer look at those tyres, they are All Terrains! Anyway you don't count as you've a wee beasty for the Muddy stuff, as well as the FFRR Wink
Let's face it they are not Lincoln Navigators, the FFRR works off road, so why try and make it look like one??????

And umm, I seam to remember a certain Mr Clarkson ragging a Sport on road tyres across Salisbury Plain, being pursued by a Tank, don't remember him getting hung up Ner Ner Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Think of a highly blinged up RRS, and then times it by ten and add 24" Chrome Spinnery thing wheels and your getting close, remember that rather sad P38 in Orange with Black stripes that was on fleabay around Christmas......... well that would have been the Base Model, before the Bling Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Not because of damage though Craig. This has been the normal procedure for years and years, as far bask as the Ford advert where they used Orions on a rollercoaster. The thing is, regardless of all other factors the company will not permit cars used like that to be sold on the open market incase someone has a crash and sues them. Cheaper to write off the car than risk litigation. Thumbs Up

WE seem to straying a tad here....

Just be clear I believe modifying is perfectly acceptable if thats your thang it really is personal choice.

MY POINT is simply that Land Rover designed the L322 to look a certain way a very major part of that design is the "Kicked Up" rear end which to my eye looks fabulous. It also helps a lot offroad of course.

If you add a BIG CHUNKY squared off bumper to the rear you completely lose the original design making it look very Boxy.

Some may like the squared off SPORTS VAN rear look and that's fine just stating my opinion.

And yes Craig I did own a Porsche Targa in 1983 aged 22 some 32 years ago (Great man's car as well - Did you not have a hairdressers girly-pants Boxter as your sports car for a while very recently?) Wink

PS The L405 continues the Classic/L322 tradition with the ICONIC "KICK UP" Rear end too....

Completely agree Gaz. To be frank, any 'Designer' who thinks a bodykit is going to improve the looks of most cars actually, well deluded is one word which comes readily to mind. I genuinely can't think of any body kit I've ever seen which improves the look of the original car.

So as far as RR bodykits go then it makes the back end look like a regular shooting brake, destroys the departure angle abilities and lowers the value of the car to the majority of potential buyers. (based on opinions here) A worthwhile investment then.

Nowt wrong with a Porsche either. A very useable supercar which still looks good and retains its value better than a lot of others. Thumbs Up
